THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN; - Only Congress can permanently protect the Valle Vidal. The Forest Service cannot. Sen. Bingman has introduced the Valle Vidal Preservation Act and Rep. Udall has introduced the Valle Vidal Protection Act. We need Sen. Domenici and Rep. Wilson to co-sponsor and push these bills forward; - The Forest Service process wont tell us anything we don?t already know: the people of northern New Mexico need must be able to bank on a permanently protected Valle Vidal because it is a key component of a sustainable economic future, it is a vital water source, it is a key part of our cultural heritage; - the Valle Vidal is a vital and sustainable economic resource for the people of northern New Mexico and must be permanently protected from industrialization. We know this now. We dont need this threat hanging over our heads for years to come and we dont need to wait any longer.
