GROUP SANITY

Chogyam Trungpa: Do you understand the word "sangha"?

Student: No, I don't.

CT: It is group spirit...

S: Okay.

CT:  ...and group sanity, which is transmitted through, to the students, 
constantly. Then things don't get caught in a bottleneck situation [with 
everyone relying purely on the teacher] anymore. Group spirit, group 
sanity: the Kagyu tradition of Buddhism works with that always. That's what 
we are doing here, too, at this practice center, working with group sanity. 
It's group sanity as opposed to group encounter. [Laughter.]

S: As opposed to groupie?

CT: Yes.
